This hotel was the former mansion of internationally renowned artist Victor Delphin. It has a real eclectic vibe to it. The views overlooking the ocean are exquisite as this hotel is purchad atop a hill. The interior is highly eclectic with many of the artworks created by Victor Delphin, one of Peru's top artists. The hotel does have a bar area in the evening. The server was very nice. As I recall they offered a free breakfast as well. It was a full breakfast and not a continental.
This is very nice hotel with a good location, many good restaurants in the area which is quiet and safe. The staff is helpful and nice and the breakfast is super good, fruit, coffee, bread, juice and eggs in different varieties. The view of the sea and Baranco is fantastic and you can see several bird species in the garden!.
Myself and my wife stayed here for the last 3 nights of our Peru holiday. Just wanted somewhere to wind down after our adventures. Had one the rooms on the cliff edge with balcony looking out over the sea. The hotel arranged an extremely reasonable airport collection for us. When we arrived we were checked in promptly and taken to our room. We were very happy with the quality and the split level feature with the bathroom upstairs. Can be tricky in the night though. The weather was very misty and murky really, which was unfortunate, so we didn't really use the balcony much. The hotel is very quirky and nice. Possibly tries to be a little too posh (for me) but a lot of people would like the ambience. Breakfast was nice, but the same every day if you are there for a while. Just outside the hotel are some lovely restaurants and its a nice stroll down to the seafront past old buildings and some more restaurants. The hotel is in a good location and safe. Would I recommend the hotel for a short stay. Definitely.
Very cute hotel in a cute location, centrally located for exploring in Barranco on foot, including being walking distance to Bajada de Baños (where much of the street art is) and restaurants like Isolina. Breakfast was delicious, with very fresh warm bread. We stayed in Mirador 1, which had a great terrace with ocean view.
